How to Leverage LinkedIn As An Introvert
Be Clear and Concise
Systems and prep work are going to be your best friend when it comes to amping up your presence on LinkedIn, fellow introvert. Something that will save a lot of time and frustration is creating a clear and concise elevator pitch and messaging prompts to share with potential clients you connect with on the platform.
Being able to write up or record an elevator pitch that describes exactly what you do will be helpful in harnessing the interest of the connections you’re making. That way, there is no confusion on exactly what it is you do or offer. It should be so clear and concise that any potential client can read or listen to it and immediately be drawn into checking out your profile for more info, sending a message back, or scheduling a coffee chat!
Relationship Building Tips
LinkedIn was really made to be a place to build new relationships and continue to foster old ones. Both of which can be kind of scary as an introvert. As uncomfortable as it may feel, being an engaged member of a connection’s network will have great payoff on LinkedIn. The algorithm values engagement and will show a person’s whole network when they like or comment on your post.
If you’re making a concerted effort to engage with the members of your network, reciprocity will work in your favor. Your engagement doesn’t need to be long-winded or very complex. It’s all about creating genuine connection. Throw out a positive reaction with the reaction buttons! Say something short, sweet, and to the point on their recent post! It won’t go unnoticed if you truly care about being a valued member of someone’s vast network.
LinkedIn Profile Optimization
It is really important for an introvert’s online presence speaks for itself and gets people to want to say yes to working with them with as little friction as possible. When it comes to client attraction, this means introverts need to focus on optimizing their presence on LinkedIn. With an optimized LinkedIn profile, you can take some of the pressure off constantly networking and creating content and sit back and focus on the things you actually like to do in your business.
LinkedIn gives you a variety of ways to set up your profile, create a company page, and optimize your presence as a service provider on the platform. All of which are searchable and all of which can help you get found even if you’re not posting anything. When you have an optimized LinkedIn platform, you can come up in search results on LinkedIn without doing a ton of extra work.
